The Director of Distance Education will forward
Telecourse recording and/or duplication requests to the Network & Multimedia
Librarian. Requests must include: a) RMI duplications; b) RCC
head-in and library copies requiring a total of six sets of videotapes
- three (3) for the campus libraries, two (2) for the head-in,
and one (1) master; c) Telecourse faculty requests for a personal
set of videotapes.
The Director of Distance Education must provide the
appropriate license agreements for each recording, duplication,
or distribution request. Any fees associated with the request as
stipulated by the license agreement must be resolved in advance.
All requests must be submitted at least one semester prior to the
Telecourse start date.

The Network & Multimedia Librarian will record
and evaluate all license agreements.

The Network & Multimedia Librarian will authorize
or deny the request based upon an evaluation of the license.
If the request is denied, the Network & Multimedia Librarian
will notify the Director of Distance Education detailing the
grounds for refusal. If the request is authorized, the Network & Multimedia
Librarian will notify the IMC Manager and specify the number
of Telecourse video sets needed by location based on the request
received.

The IMC Manager must send an acknowledgement of
the request to the Network & Multimedia Librarian.

The IMC Manager will forward a signed copy of the
confirmation request to the Instructional Media Technician.

The Instructional Media Technician must determine
the number of videotapes needed and the format(s) required to
complete the request and forward this information to the Director
of Distance Education.

The Director of Distance Education must obtain
the blank videotapes and deliver them to the IMC to the attention
of the Instructional Media Technician.

Once the Instructional Media Technician receives
the blank videotapes he will arrange for the recording or duplication
of the program.

Once recording or duplication has been completed,
the Instructional Media Technician will label the videotapes
and forward them to the Technical Services Librarian.

The Technical Services Librarian will catalogue
the videotapes and distribute them to the appropriate library
and head-in locations. All videotapes duplicated will be cataloged
including the masters.
- The Network & Multimedia Librarian will notify
the Director of Distance Education once the Telecourse videotapes
have been processed.
