The Parking Structure is located on lower campus adjacent to the Art buildings and Wheelock Stadium, the project goes a long way to resolving a critical need on the campus: more student parking. Upon completion, the five-story building will provide 1,100 new parking spaces—a 33% increase over current parking. These new parking spaces will alleviate much of the parking congestion on campus and continue to help decrease the impacts of traffic and parking on the neighboring Wood Streets. Most of the parking will be located on
the first four levels, along with some Athletic offices. The top level
of the building will hold six new tennis courts, replacing the ones
that were previously in that location. The popular handball courts will
be reconstructed adjacent to the tunnel leading from lower campus to
the Evans Park Sports Complex. Daily progress can be monitored through this Webcam. |
